The month of March is one of our favorites! March means Springtime, St. Patrick’s Day, and Irish Whiskey Month! Long ago, Bill and Jim each purchased this particular whiskey for this year’s Irish Whiskey Month: the Powers Johns Lane Release Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey, not knowing the other had done so, too… what we like to call a “happy accident!”

We record this one on St. Patrick’s Day, and what a fun whiskey this proves to be! The first thing you notice when you open the box is the impressive, lengthy story that accompanies the bottle. Next we delight in the different characters of the nose, then we find the taste fascinatingly dry and complex in each of our three tastings… but we agree one way is far superior.
