Red Breast
We’ve really enjoyed our self-proclaimed Irish Whiskey Month, and round out March with a review of the 12 year old Red Breast…which originally we intended to mark St. Patrick’s Day.
What a wonderful complexity we find in Red Breast: a sweetness, a gentle warmth, and a somewhat dry character. While we truly appreciate this whiskey, we cannot stop ourselves from making references to Yellow Spot. Thus we think we failed to pay proper respect to Red Breast, a fine spirit in its own right.
So come fill your glass and join us, as we find truth in the old saying, “God invented whiskey so the Irish wouldn’t rule the earth!”
