Where’s Part 1 you might ask? Well, that explains our 2 month absence…

We recorded the first part of our podcast on the Glenlivet 3-bottle tasting kit (12-, 15-, and 18 year old scotch) in late October, but unfortunately the audio was rendered unusable. In that session, Bill and Jim sampled the 18 and 15 respectively, and we decided we liked the 15 better.

In Part 2, we sample the 12 year old Glenlivet, and are delightfully surprised by its taste and character. We declare it our favorite of the three!

This 3-bottle kit and the 21 year old Glenlivet we will sample next constitute a challenge from our beloved Grandma Kat to determine the differences between the vintages and whether an older-aged scotch truly is that much better. So far, at least to our palette, the answer is no, however we still have one more scotch to go!
